Telesia was founded in the early 1980s, developing its line of business in the multimedia telecommunications industry. In the second half of the 1990s, Telesia specialised in the design, creation and management of audio and television systems for public places, which led it to develop and create its Tele.News project, Italy’s first out-of-home TV experience, created for places with a high influx of people. Initially, Telesia established itself on the out-of-home TV market with its airport TV network, but in 2004 it extended its business with the Milan metro TV circuit. In March 2007, the video communication system was further expanded with the addition of Rome metro TV.
In July 2010, Telesia implemented the television network in the Milan metro system, doubling the number of screens and stations in which it featured. In September 2010, Telesia signed an agreement with Autostrade per l’Italia for the exclusive management – through the group’s agent – of the advertising schedule of Infomoving, la TV delle autostrade broadcast in motorway service stations across the Italian motorway network.
